Emergency Operations Center
The Mt. Lebanon Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is the central command center for emergency response during major incidents. Key disaster response officials, including the Municipal Manager, the Mt. Lebanon Emergency Management Coordinator, and Municipal Department Heads, convene on the second floor of the Public Safety Building to make the strategic decisions necessary to protect the public during emergencies, which include hurricanes, civil unrest, wildfires and mass casualty incidents.During activation, EOC functions include: - Collection, analysis and communications of pertinent information with involved agencies
- Coordination of emergency actions with local, state and federal agencies
- Direction of emergency preparedness, response and recovery operations for the Municipality
The EOC receives emergency information through the Emergency Dispatch Center and coordinates serious emergencies with the County.
